Here's a little about me...

Working in her garden studio, Alex Clamp produces carefully handcrafted statement and everyday pieces of jewellery to the highest standard. She focuses on combining hand techniques with contemporary innovative design.

Alex studied fashion design and marketing at Southampton University, where she was able to explore all areas of the fashion industry specialising in jewellery as an accessory, producing designs and silver prototypes in her final year. Alex further developed her unique style whilst studying traditional jewellery techniques at the School of Jewellery in Birmingham's historic Jewellery Quarter. Where she continued on to be Artist in Resident for a year. She has exhibited with the British Art Medal Society and been commissioned to design pieces for the British Museum's 'Treasures from Heaven' exhibition.

Alex is intrigued by Art Nouveau and Art Deco styling, as well as being inspired by botany and nature.She hand pierces intricate designs and forms them into delicate, tactile shapes; creating a range of elegant and versatile jewellery. Working with silver and gold these hand crafted pieces are often complimented by pearls or precious stone accents.
